Phillip Jacob Schlosser was from Milwaukee. He resigned on September 12, 1863. He became an officer of Sixth Ward Branch of the Second Ward Bank in Milwaukee. He was also an officer in the Knights of Pythias. Philip was member of Robert Chivas Post No. 2, G.A.R. as well as a founding member and first vice president and later treasurer of Twenty-Sixth Regiment Association formed in 1874. Philip died on February 2, 1906. Phillip Schlosser, manager of the Sixth Ward office of the Second Ward Savings’ Bank, is a native of Germany, where he was born on February 13, 1835, and lived till he was 21 years old. In 1854 he came to America, landing in New York, where he remained three years. In 1857 he came to Milwaukee where he has since resided, being for a greater part of the time interested in the banking business, and connected with the Second Ward Savings’ Bank. He engaged in his present position on the opening of the branch office, May 1, 1874, and has held it uninterruptedly since that time. Mr Schlosser was married July 22, 1865. He has gad eight children, six of whom are still living – Johanna Louise, born November 27, 1867; Caroline Florence, born October 7, 1870; Ida Armine, born February 28, 1872; Helene, born April 27, 1874; Louis Phillipe, born December 30, 1876, and Max, born July 11, 1878.
