Henry Klinker was from Milwaukee. He was wounded by a minie ball in left ankle at Gettysburg and was captured, but left behind after rebel retreat. His leg was amputated three inches below knee Henry was discharged on April 9th, of 1864, on account of his wounds. He became a member and trustee of Robert Chivas Post No. 2, G.A.R.; founding member of Twenty-Sixth Regiment Association.
