Henry W. Rintelmann of Cedarburg was enlisted as Corporal, later promoted to Sergeant. He was caputered at Gettysburg on July 1, 1863. He was held at Belle Island in Richmond, Virginia, then Andersonville, Savannah, Millers, Blackshire, Thomasville, and finally back to Andersonville, Georgia. He was paroled “in a most horrible condition” in June of 1865. Henry was confined in a hospital at Milwaukee after release, and paroled June 1865 He was absent sick at the muster out of the regiment. member of Robert Chivas Post No. 2, G.A.R.; attended fiftieth anniversary at Gettysburg in 1913.
