Private Anton C. Ewens, from Milwaukee. He was wounded at Chancellorsville, May 2, 1863 and also wounded by a shell near Lookout Mountain, October 28, 1863. Anton was discharged due to wounds near Lookout Mountain. Anton was a postal letter carrier after war, became mail carrier, superintendent of the Twelfth Street branch office. He later became a real estate dealer in Milwaukee. He was a member Twenty-Sixth Regiment Association. Anton was a member of Wolcott Post No. 1, G.A.R. He died May 17, 1916.
